Nora...I like....

Nora... I have oil painted on lots of surfaces, but when I am doing heavily textured palette knife paintings...I prefer 1/4 inch gessoed is strong, and for some reason the paint dries faster than on canvas, and it can be framed in an open wood frame, or in a regular frame with the glass out. When I am doing small 5x7-11x14 expressionistic palette knife pieces with thinner paint, I LOVE, believe it or not....watercolor paper. I love the way it looks with the grain of the paper, I can't get that look with canvas...and it dries even faster that masonite.
